ABOUT MAFATLAL
 
In 1995, two Internationally renowned textile giants - Mafatlal Industries Limited, India and Burlington Industries, USA joined hands to form Mafatlal Burlington Industries Limited. This joint venture company was established for the manufacture and marketing of denim fabrics.

The plant was set up at Navsari in Gujarat - India in 1996 and commercial production started in November 1997.

In April 2006, the Arvind Mafatlal Group - India acquired Burlington Industries' equity in the joint venture and the company is now called "MAFATLAL DENIM LIMITED".

A state-of-the-art denim manufacturing facility was set up with the technical know-how and operating systems from Burlington, USA and Mafatlal Industries Limited, in 1996.

The denim manufacturing capacity is 10 million metres per annum (MMA) and it is expected to increase to 20 MMA by mid 2007.

The composite mill facilities comprise of Open End and Ring Yarn Spinning, Warping, Dyeing, Weaving, Finishing and Mercerization.

Latest technologies, process control and computer systems have been installed from Internationally renowned suppliers like Trutzler, Rieter, Schlafhorst, Zinser, Morrison, Picanol and Tsudakoma.
